Studio classes:
The Pilates programme will give different level options of exercises and will be advanced in stages depending on my fitness level. The instructor / physiotherapist may stop the exercise session because of signs of fatigue or excessive strain. It is important for me to realise that I must stop when I wish because of feelings of fatigue or pain or any other discomfort. I must only progress the levels of the exercises as I feel is right for me.
The possibilities of certain dangers exist when exercising including abnormal blood pressure, fainting or altered heart rhythm, and in rare instances heart attack, stroke, or death. Whilst every care will be taken it is impossible to predict the body’s exact response to exercise. Every effort will be made to minimise these risks by evaluation of preliminary information relating to my health and fitness and by observations during exercising.
The Pilates programme has been specifically designed by a qualified instructor but will still take into account details given in my health questionnaire assessment. This programme of exercise should only be undertaken when in a Pilates class or when I have been given specific instructions to exercise on my own.
