Keep your 2023 self-care on track by booking yourself in for an evening to stretch, unwind, and ease any stresses. Nourish yourself with tasty tapas and an indulgent cocktail. Then leave as the sun’s starting to set on another lovely summer’s evening, feeling more confident in yourself and the clothes you wear than you ever have, thanks to our expert talk from personal stylist Sarah Cannon from Style You New. Sounds good, doesn’t it?

Following the success of our previous retreat days, Animated Physio & Totally Yoga have teamed up to bring you a summer session that will leave you feeling refreshed, energised, and full of positivity!

What’s happening on your Twilight Retreat?

The evening will start with a positive buzz as we get to know each other & set our intentions for the session at our opening circle. This will be followed by an energising Pilates class taken by Anna from Animated Physio. After taking a short break, we’ll start to wind down with a gentle stretch & relaxation yoga class taken by Sarah from Totally Yoga. Whilst sipping a delicious cocktail, personal stylist Sarah Cannon will then teach you how to dress with confidence, before enjoying a nourishing tapas dinner. The evening will finish with the chance to chat, and ask any questions you have to help make positive steps to mean you have your best summer yet!

Where & when is this Retreat being held?

Our Twilight Summer Retreat will be held on Saturday 10th June at King Edward Community Centre, King Edward Road, Laindon, Essex, SS15 6GY. The session will start at 4pm and finish at approximately 9pm.

Bookings are limited, so don’t leave it too late to secure your space!

What’s the investment in myself?

The investment in yourself for our Twilight Summer Retreat is £89. All food, drinks, Pilates & Yoga sessions, and workshops are included in the price of the session.

What do I need to bring and wear?

Come ready to partake in an evening packed full of health, wellness, & mindfulness!  Make sure you bring your exercise mat, and a pillow if you usually use one.  Wear whatever you normally wear for a Pilates or Yoga class.  You might also like to bring an extra layer or blanket for the relaxation session. All food and drink is provided and included in the cost of the day, but you may like to bring your own bottle of water to have by you during the classes.  These can, of course, be refilled at the venue whenever needed!

FAQ’s

We’ve had a few questions about the Retreat so we thought we’d do our best to answer them!

Is there parking?

Yes, there is ample free parking at the hall, which is easily accessible for anyone travelling by car.

How far away is the venue as I’m not a confident driver?

The venue is the one Sarah usually uses for her yoga classes, so if you’re a regular at her classes you’ll know exactly where to go! If you’re a regular at Animated Physio’s studio, it’s just a 5 minute drive from here, so should be easy for all of you to get to!

Is it for women only?

This time, yes. The focus of the expert talk at this session is on how to dress with confidence, and will be focused at female clients.

Do I need to be flexible, able to stand on my head, or a regular at yoga to be able to do the yoga session?

The yoga will be a gentle stretch & relaxation routine which will be kind to your body. No headstand experience or previous yoga experience is required.

Will the yoga be just meditation?

The yoga class will be a gentle stretch & relaxation routine. This means there will be a movement element of the class, followed by time for relaxation, meaning you’ll be feeling calm, refreshed, and ready for the rest of the evening’s activities!

Do I need to be a Pilates regular to attend?

Not at all! The Pilates session will be suitable for all abilities. As an experienced physio, Anna will be giving you progressions, regressions, and adaptations so you can challenge yourself as much as you feel is right for you. She will be there to make suggestions to ensure you’re getting the most you can out of the session, appropriate for your body.

Do I need to be a regular at Anna’s or Sarah’s classes to come along to the day?

Whether you join us several times a week, or we’ve never met you before, you’re more than welcome to come along to the day. At our previous Retreats, we’ve had regulars bring along friends and family who have never tried our classes before and they’ve had a lovely time.

Money is a bit tight at the moment with the cost of living crisis. When’s the latest I can book?

Should any spaces remain towards the date of the Retreat, booking will close on Friday 2nd June to allow us time to finalise numbers for the day with the caterers.
