We’re here to help you take control of your pelvic health! And there’s never been a better time either, as we’re offering 20% off our Women’s Health Physiotherapy Appointments throughout August!

Whether you’re experiencing bladder or bowel problems, pelvic pain, pain during pregnancy, prolapse symptoms, or concerns following gynaecological surgery, we’re here to help you regain confidence and improve your quality of life.

Our Women’s Health Physiotherapists have extensive experience have supported women with a wide range of pelvic floor conditions. We understand that these symptoms can feel embarrassing or overwhelming, but they are incredibly common and, in many cases, can be significantly improved with specialist physiotherapy.

We provide a safe, supportive and confidential environment where you can discuss your concerns and receive expert assessment and treatment tailored to your individual needs.

What to Expect During Your Women’s Health Physiotherapy Appointment

During your appointment, our experienced Women’s Health Physiotherapists will:

1. Take a detailed history and symptom assessment.
We’ll begin with a comprehensive discussion about your medical history, lifestyle and current symptoms. Understanding how your symptoms affect your daily life allows us to develop the most appropriate treatment plan for you.

2. Complete a postural and musculoskeletal assessment.
Many pelvic health conditions are influenced by posture, breathing, movement patterns and muscle function. We’ll assess these areas to identify any contributing factors and ensure your treatment addresses the whole person, not just your symptoms.

3. Assess your pelvic floor.
With your consent, we’ll carry out a thorough pelvic floor assessment, which may include an internal vaginal examination where appropriate. This enables us to assess your pelvic floor muscle strength, coordination and function, helping us identify the underlying cause of your symptoms.

4. Provide an individualised treatment programme.
Based on the findings from your assessment, we’ll create a personalised treatment plan designed specifically for you. This may include pelvic floor muscle training, bladder and bowel advice, lifestyle modifications, breathing and movement strategies, education and exercises to help you achieve your goals.
